It’s your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man!   Without doubt, Spider-Man is one of the most iconic superhero characters of all time. Having graced the pages of hundreds of Marvel comic books since the early 1960s, the webslinger made his live-action big film debut in the 2002 film _Spider-Man_.   Since then, the character has appeared in a host of films, with the current version, who is played by Tom Holland, joining forces with the Avengers to take on Thanos in _Avengers: Infinity War_ and _Avengers: Endgame_. And who can forget the epic meeting of three Spider-Men in _Spider-Man: No Way Home_!   But could you really get superpowers from a radioactive spider?   Could we ever climb walls like spiders?   And why is spider silk one of the most extraordinary materials on the planet?   In this talk, Dr. Barry Fitzgerald (The Superhero Scientist) will introduce you to some of the spectacular science behind Spider-Man.
